So..I was discussing about KPOP and JPOP with my sisters...(yes. that topic again. This topic seems to pop up a lot these days since I've come to hear and know some lil things about KPOP). Of course we went to further and talk about..how some singers can't really sing..or some idols can't really dance. Like they depend solely on their looks and personalities. Well, of course theres always people like this right? Anywhere. But there are groups that are great in singing and dancing too.
So..my sister showed me this clip. DBSK in SMAPxSMAP. According to sis this is the perfect clip cause both are really famous group from their respective country and both are idols. Well, I'm not the biggest SMAP fan..in fact I'm not a fan at all...not that I don't like them. Its just I don't really watch their shows and I don't know any of their songs. And honestly, I've seen a couple of their performances like in MS..and I was not that impressed.
I'm kinda into DBSK now and I like them..BUT(!) being a JPOP fan..I of course stick up to SMAP. So I watched the clip she gave me in front of her. And honestly, I felt embarrassed. Both group did a collaboration performance. ^ ^;;;
First you can watch both group dance to Purple Line. Big difference in the dancing but of course it was not SMAP's song so I don't expect them to dance perfectly or anything. (But you can really see how half hearted Kimura was when he danced). But..god when it comes to the singing...You can hear MAJOR difference in their voice. Course they sang a ballad song after that. The stupidest thing is..they decided to put Nakai and Junsu togather in one part of the song.
Personally I don't think U-know's voice is that good but..when compared to Takuya ( I compare these two because theres one part where they sang togather)..................~ *sigh*
*Kimutaku starts singing*
Sis: hahhahaha Macam tu rupanya suara dia.
Me: ........
Sis: Even Matsujun can do better.
Me: ... of course!
*end of performance*
Sis: SEE THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE? :p
Me: ....okay. okay.
Sis: But oh well, we can't blame SMAP..maybe they used to sound good. They're old now. DBSK is still young. *shrugs*
Me: ...........
Me: ...............Yeah..~ They were really popular when they were young.
*thinks back* Does age has anything to do with their voice? I don't think so~.
But of course I didn't say that out laud.
End of story.
So..does this means that I'm slowly slowly becoming DBSK bias..(because I think all five of them can sing AND dance very well)? :(
