I was contemplating with myself whether to blog about this or not, because it is a bit of an embarrassing thing to be fixated over. Although it is something huge that has been occupying my mind lately, so its such a shame not to write about it.
Anyway, I'll write about it here anyway as a record for my future self, that not too long ago, at the age of 31, I was fixated (note that I refuse to use the word obsess) over a prince. Yes. A prince. A real prince. A very handsome and charming prince to be exact (I'd include a photo of him here, but I'm to embarrassed to do so).
He's the 4th prince of the Sultan of Brunei. 6th in line for the throne (not that its an important information or anything, but yeah.. you know~). And happens to be very good looking. VERY. GOOD. LOOKING. Although his real charms are, in my personal opinion, are the fact that he likes sports (guys who plays or like sports are sexy, imo), he's an adrenaline junky (this is sexy too), has and is currently training in the army academy (ehemm guys in uniforms!!), a future pilot and did I mention he plays so many kinds of sports (like seriously, you name it. badminton, football, polo, boxing, etc)?
Anyway, this leads to another topic. As the result of trying to get to know more about this prince's 'social circumstances', lately I have been 'studying' a lot about Brunei. Yes, Brunei the country itself. 2 years ago, I did an economic study on the country for one of my assignments. So the country's blooming economy and wealth is all credited to its petroleum and natural gas field. And so, with this fact, one has to wonder, until when will this wealth continue? What will happen to the country when all these petroleums and natural gas starts depleting?
Another interesting thing about Brunei is their Royals. The power of one family controlling a whole nation. The Bruneian Empire. Its like someone gave this one family all the power and authority one can ever think of. The Sultan is ultimately the wealthiest person in the country and also the sole ruler to it. However, you would think that with all his wealth and authorities, the people would have a lot to say about it but no, not the people of Brunei. They actually respect and love their Sultan (and his families). Which I find odd (probably because theres no way in hell I would do the same to my country's leader. I mean no explanation needed for this, just look the state of our politicians).
Anyhow, at this rate, judging by the intensity of my 'studies', I could apply for a major in Brunei history by the end of the year.
P/S- What a total waste of time and knowledge to store in my brain.
